German Cars & Zoo Animals!

Okay so I've missed a couple weeks.  Let's talk about what was missed.  In one weekend I got to shoot a whole bunch of German cars followed by a bunch of animals at the Detroit Zoo!  Car show first...

Motorstadt IX in Macomb, MI.  This is an annual meet which mainly consists of Volkswagens & Audis, old and new with a few mixed in cars.  My girlfriend, Betty, and I meet up with some other members of a Michigan VW forum called "Michigan Volkswagen Enthusiasts" aka "MIVE" then off to Macomb for Motorstadt.  The drive was fun, it's been a while since I've had a chance to get some rolling shots of some pretty cool cars.

We finally arrive at the show, park, register and BAM start shooting.  We were there a bit early so we did have to slow down and let the rest of the cars roll in.  Needless to say, there was a lot of awesome cars at this show.

Now that the car fun is over lets move onto day two of that weekend.  So a few of us got together to visit the Detroit Zoo.  It's been years since I've gone to one myself and my 1st time going to the Detroit Zoo, so naturally I decided to bring my camera and a couple lens' (50mm & 75-300mm).  It was a pretty hot day, but we made it through the entire zoo.  We even had time to stop and feed the giraffes, take pictures of just about all the animals, then ended it with burgers at the Arctic Cafe.  Anywho, onto the animal photos!

So that was my weekend.  I hope you enjoyed and I'm going to try a bit harder to keep this blog updated more frequently.  For fun I'll end this one with a photo of my old broken point & shoot camera I decided to take completely apart just to take a photo of it.

Can you guess what camera this is?
